Encyclopedia Brown Spelling

For the next two weeks, we will be reading an Encyclopedia Brown story.  It is just one of a series of mysteries all about a boy so smart that everyone calls him Encyclopedia!

Encantado Chromebook Centers


There are two different centers listed on this blog-post.  Make sure you are using the correct links for your center.


CENTER 1

UNIQUE AND MYSTERIOUS ANIMALS

In this center, you will be gathering information about mysterious animals.  

You first need to choose an animal from the list provided.  You will need at least 3 qualities that describe your animal.  You will also need to list some unique qualities of the pink dolphin.  

Be sure to explain your information and do a nice job!  This graphic organizer will prepare you for your writing test later this week!

Click on the animals to learn more.   You will have to do some of your own searching too, using Google, but these links will help you start!

ENCANTADO WEBQUEST

This week, you will be using our 4th grade blog to visit different websites to learn about the features of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil.  

Click on the links below to start exploring.

Remember to fill in your worksheet as you complete the WEBQUEST.

TASK 1:  Watch the BBC movie of pink river dolphins.

TASK 2:  Read and listen about Tangarana Trees.

TASK 3:  Read some interesting facts about the Amazon River.

TASK 4:  Watch the clip about an amazing young man named Ben Underwood.

TASK 5:  Play "Track it Back" and learn where some common items come from!

Encantado Spelling
